Periodic Cleanings

When it is time to clean your railings, you want to use warm water and a mild soap or detergent. Before you start scrubbing a large section of the railings, you might want to start over in a corner. You can then search for another type of cleaner that will not harm the coat of paint on the railings.

Straighten All Bends In The Railings

It is natural for there to be some bends in the aluminum railings from years of use. Just think of all of the times people have moved things in and out of your house. Once you have discovered a bend in the railing, you will want to have it straightened out. You can hire a contractor to do this for you, or you can simply give it a try on your own. Simply take a soft rubber hammer and gently try to pound the bent aluminum back into place.
